The colors of flags


Each color has its own prophetic meaning in God's Kingdom. When you make yourself a worship flag, consider carefully what kind of message you want to proclaim through the color of the flag.

Do you want to proclaim the manifest glory of God among the congregation? Then gold and green are fit colors for your flag.

In this article you will find answers to the symbolism of colors.

Colors in the tabernacle

God gave strict and detailed instructions of the colors and materials that would build His tabernacle:

"And thou shalt make an hanging for the door of the tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework. And thou shalt make for the hanging five pillars of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, and their hooks shall be of gold: and thou shalt cast five sockets of brass for them" (Exodus 26: 36-37)

RED: blood, atonement, sin offering, consuming fire, love, war

BURGUNDY: New wine

PINK: Right relations, church, bride

BLUE: Celestial, Holy Spirit, Godly revelation

LIGHT BLUE: Holy Spirit

DARK BLUE: Authority

PURPLE: reflects royalty and kingship

BLACK: death of self, hiding place, sin, the shadow of His wings, trial, death, groaning, humiliation

ORANGE: worship

YELLOW: The glory of God


WHITE: purity, holiness, righteousness, victory, victorius rejoicing, wind

GOLD: Holiness, kingship, glory, honor, heaven

"And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters." Revelation 1: 12-15.

" And round the throne were four and twenty seats: and uopn the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold" Revelation 4:4

SILVER: Redemption, God's word

BRONZE: Judgement  " And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass" Leviticus 26: 18-19

GREEN: God´s glory, success, new life, eternal life, freshness, strength, wealth, revival, spiritual growth

" And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald." Revelation 4:3


The Revelation also describes in detail the splendor of colors:

Revelation 21:19-21

"And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper (mostly red, yellow, green, multicolored stones, stones with a single color is rare); the second, sapphire (blue, pink, green); the third, a chalcedony (blue); the fourth, an emerald (green); The fifth, sardonyx (reddish-brown and white stripes), the sixth, sardius (red and reddish-brown), the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus (apple green); the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst (purple).
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass."

COLOR COMBINATIONS:

RED AND BLUE: warfare

GOLD AND PURPLE: Accompany God´s glorious presence and the Lord´s majesty

RED AND SILVER: We pray for salvation and repent

SILVER FLAGS: Gathering the congregation  (Leviticus 10)

RED AND GOLD: Releasing the fire if the Holy Spirit

WHITE: The wind of the Holy Spirit, angelic visitation

BLUE AND GREEN: Praying together for the release of the rain of the Holy Spirit, the rivers of God, blue waters, green pastures. The color also represents mercy and compassion.
